Sabine Metzger received her PhD from the University of Stuttgart. Her thesis examines the interdependence of existence and poiesis in the works of John Hawkes. She teaches American literature at the University of Stuttgart and at the University of Mannheim, and cultural studies at the Centre of Cultural and General Studies of the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. She is interested in sound studies and is currently working on a book-length study on Nabokov and the auditory.
